These tissues make breast structure complicated, and it becomes difficult for women to understand what is normal, and what is abnormal for them if they dont stay in touch with their breasts on regular basis. There are different parts of breasts two important parts are lobes, and ducts, and breast cancer develops in both these parts usually as some types of breast cancer are
Ductal Carcinoma
In this type of cancer cells grow within the cells of ducts, and it is the most common type of cancer experienced by women. There are different types of ductal carcinoma
Ductal Carcinoma in Situ
In this case cancer develops within the lining of ducts, and not invades other surrounding areas. If treatment for this type of cancer is not given timely to a woman there are chances that cancer invades the surrounding areas as well, and turns into invasive cancer.
Invasive Ductal Carcinoma
Invasive ducatl carcinoma is about the development of cancer cells in the lining of dcucts, and it breaks through the lining of ducts to invade other areas of the breast.
Lobular Carcinoma
Lobular carcinoma is about development of cancer in the lobes or lobules of breast. These are milk producing glands, and are connected to the ducts for transferring milk to nipples from where infant can be fed on breast milk.
Lobular Carcinoma in Situ
Lobular carcinoma in situ usually develops into the lobules, and does not spread to the wall of lobules for affecting other surrounding areas. This cancer seldom turns into invasive cancer, but having this type of cancer increases the risk to have cancer later in life so treatment is mandatory at initial stage.
Invasive Lobular Carcinoma
The word invasive suggests that this cancer develops in the lobules, and invades nearby tissues to get them affected with breast cancer. Invasive cancer is difficult to treat, and survival chances are lower as well so women should be careful about minor abnormal changes as well because they may lead o the development of invasive breast cancer.
Breast examination is advised to women of all ages so that they can observe breast anomalies as they take place in order to treat them successfully. Women are at higher risk of developing this cancer so it is their responsibility to learn about the disease in detail to enlighten awareness as well as to promote early detection. Examination of breasts is of different types as omen can examine their breasts as well as they can consult doctors to examine this part of the body while that is called clinical examination. In this type of examination breasts are examined by doctors or health care providers to look for abnormalities, and in case of suspected observation more tests are recommended.
